Gillian Easton spent 6 years at Art College and went on to work in a studio in Paris. On her return to England, she joined Courtaulds and worked on the design production side. Eventually, she went freelance, taking customers including Liberties, Cavendish Textiles, Carrington Vyella and Tootals, and sold designs in Europe and the USA.
Consultancy jobs took her from work with ICI (London) to as far as Delhi (India) with Phool Designs. Her work has been shown in House and Garden and on exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum (London). She is at present specialising in painting, taking commissions (Landscapes, Large florals....) with a few design projects, (Greetings Cards...). She regularly exhibits at local venues and occasionally in London, and has students for silk painting and art classes at most levels.
Gill has held workshops for the Society of Amateur Artists, schools and societies and is a demonstrator for the artist materials company Daler Rowney. She has been sponsored to write on acrylics and to test new materials; also she has written articles about watercolour painting, runs courses, and takes commissions.
